Organizations

Chicago Council on Global Affairs – promotes public learning by offering weekly programs featuring influential speakers, including world leaders and diplomats. Other activities include international exchanges, fellowships, and study programs. Publishes an interesting annual report on attitudes toward global issues called Global Views.

Clinton Global Initiative – founded by President Clinton to address pressing world issues by bringing together a variety of world leaders. Helps support broad-based and personal involvement through an online portal, MyCommitment.org, where anyone can make their own Commitment to Action by making a donation or volunteering their time.

Council on Foreign Relations – non-partisan membership organization and think tank that promotes an understanding of foreign policy and helps shape the debate on policy issues through research and discussions among leading policy makers and influencers. Publishes the bimonthly journal Foreign Affairs.

The International Institute for Strategic Studies – London-based organization that provides leading analysis and information on strategic trends in global security issues. Publishes an annual review of world affairs Strategic Survey.
